Dennis Page, O.D.

Dr. Page is a native of Junction City, Kansas. He performed his undergraduate studies at Kansas State University and the University of Houston. He completed his professional studies at the University of Houston, School of Optometry in 1973. Dr. Page has been in his own private practices in Denver and the mountains of Colorado since 1974.

Postgraduate studies include advanced ocular therapeutic management, LASIK and refractive surgery care, as well as cataract, glaucoma and dry eye management. His special interests lie in the aforementioned as well as total family vision care, specialty contact lenses fitting – especially bifocal contacts and above all, patient education. He is a member of both the American and Colorado Optometric Associations.

Dr. Page happily shares his knowledge and expertise in both the clinical and administrative aspects of a highly successful medically driven private practice.

Dr. Page and his spouse Lorraine feel very fortunate to be able to enjoy their passion for golf not only in the beautiful mountains of Cordillera, Colorado but also Scottsdale, Arizona.

Jonathan Owens, O.D.

Dr. Owens’ focus is on the treatment and management of ocular disease, complex contact lens fittings and routine eye care.

Dr. Owens received his undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Following that, Dr. Owens graduated with high honors from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Optometry. Dr. Owens is listed as one of the Top Optometrists in America by the Consumers’ Research Council of America.

Dr. Owens routinely flies to developing countries (Haiti, Peru, Tanzania, Guatemala, Argentina, Thailand, Paraguay, El Salvador, St. Lucia, Puerto Rico) to treat eye disease and to dispense donated glasses to children.

Dr Owens is actively involved with the Vail Search & Rescue and the Vail Valley Partnership. He and his wife Amy have a daughter attending Vail Mountain School. Dr Owens enjoys telemark skiing, cross country mountain biking, and world travel.

Greg Kouyoumdjian, M.D.

Dr. K has been practicing medicine for the past 10 years. He completed his undergraduate education at Johns Hopkins University. He graduated from medical school with honors from New York University School of Medicine. His ophthalmology residency and corneal / refractive fellowship were completed at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.

Dr K, who is a member of Vision Care Specialists, sees patients at Vail Vision once per month and performs most of the cataract and LASIK surgerys for the practice. He is the author of many publications and is certified on several laser systems.

Dr. K enjoys skiing with his family and playing ice hockey in a men’s league.

Robert Shields, M.D.

Dr. Shields is a certified member of the American Board of Ophthalmology, an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, and a regional lecturer on glaucoma related issues. He specializes in Trabeculectomies, tube implants, trabeculoplasty and cyclophotocoagulation surgeries. Dr. Shields utilizes the latest technologies, including the ExPRESS mini-shunt to surgically control glaucoma.
